Introduction: Mini Modern Chair

About: I am an Industrial Designer, who obviously loves to create. Now that I am a mom, most of my creations are inspired by my daughers. I believe that if more parents were making stuff with their kids, the world wo…

In this instructable you'll learn how to make a cute tiny chair for a doll house, or justo to display in a shelf.

All the materials we'll use are recycled. Because turning garbage into something amazing is so rewarding.

Go grab your glue gun and dig into your garbage can and lets get started!

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

A takeout box

Bobby pins (I keep the ones that already lost the round tip)

Skinny sticks

Glue gun

Scissors

Step 2: Make the Seat

First wash and dry the takeout box. Sketch the shape, make it symmetrical.

If you do not trust your drawing skills, you could make a template on a paper first, if you fold the paper and cut it folded, its going to be symmetrical. Then trace it on the box and cut it out.

My seat is 8 x 10.5 cm

Step 3: Make the Frame

Cut four sticks. Two larger than the others. My long sticks are 5.5 cm and the short ones are 4 cm.

Glue them to form a rectangle.

Step 4: Make the Legs

Cut four sticks the same length. Mine are 7 cm. Glue them to each corner of the frame. Don´t glue them at a 90 degree angle, glue them as shown in the picture.

Step 5: Glue the Bobby Pins

Open the bobby pins, forming an angle of about 30 degrees.

Glue the corner of a bobby pin to each leg. Glue the tips of the bobby pins to other legs or to the frame.

That's it. Now you have a pretty chair! Mine fits Barbie's house, and is sturdy enough to hold Barbie´s weight.
