Introduction: Oreo Pops CAUTION!!! VERY ADDICTIVE!!

About: I make cake for my friends and family occasionally as a hobby. I also enjoy crocheting.

When I first made these it really didn’t sound good to me but I had heard that they were REALY REALLY good .So my imagination got the better of me and I am glad it did. These are awesome!!! I have made these for family parties and they are my biggest  hit.(even to some family members they are as good as currency )you know who you are. lol

Step 1: Ingredients/step 1

OREOS - 15 oz
CREAM CHEESE -8 OZ.
CHOCOLATE OR CHOCOLATE MELTS
POP STICKS
COOKIE SCOOP (OPTIONAL)
FOOD PROCESSOR (OPTIONAL)

Step 1 Take out the cream cheese and let it soften.  Crush Oreos in a food processor or put them in a baggie and crush with a rolling pin .I have done it both ways. I prefer the food processor but just don’t  over do it.(no need to take the crème filling out of the Oreos.)

Step 2:

Step 2  Mix the cream cheese and crushed oreos together. Don’t be afraid to get messy.Use yor hands.(your hands are your best tools) take your handy dandy cookie scoop and scoop out  onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Put it freezer for about 10-20 min. so it will be easier to shape the scoops into nicer balls. Then put back in freezer for about  15 min.

Step 3:

Step 3 Meanwhile take out your  chocolate melts and microwave on half power in 30 second intervals stirring often until melted and creamy. TIP 1 Do NOT let water come into contact with the chocolate(make sure the bowl is dry before you put the chocolate in) TIP 2  to make it a little creamier chocolate so it dips better put a little bit of  Crisco in while you are melting the chocolate.Take out of freezer and dip your stick into the chocolate and stick into the oreo ball, repeat until all are done.put back in freezer for about 10 more minutes.

***If you have the Wilton Chocolate Melting Pro¸ this process will be much easier and more fun.***

Step 4: You Are Almost Done! Just Wait Til You Taste How Good These Are.

If you don’t have a Wilton Chocolate Melting Pro you can keep your chocolate warm during this process  by  putting it on a coffee/hot chocolate cup warmer. Then take your chilled oreo pops out and dip them into the chocolate. The pops need to stay cold so you may have to dip half of the batch at a time  while the other half stays chilled.Be careful not to swirl it around or you might drop it into the chocolate . I usually dip half of it then dip the other half and gently tap off the excess chocolate back into the bowl. Put sprinkles on now if desired. After each one is dipped you can put in into a styrofoam block or do what i did. I asked my husband to drill holes into a board .This helps while making them and can be decorated or wrapped  with seasonal wrapping paper to dress it up for the intended occaison.
