Origami Butterfly

I decided to make an origami butterfly mobile. I have always liked origami, so this was a fun project to do. It ends up looking so cute and would be an adorable handmade gift! Plus, it takes little time and is made from things you already have around the house.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

For this project, you are going to need: Cardboard, Construction or colored paper, and string

Step 2: Make an Origami Butterfly

You are going to need to make an origami butterfly. Here are some instructions on how to do that

Step 3: Make More!

Now, repeat step two untill you have at least 7

Step 4: The Top

Next, you want to cut out a circle about 6 inches in diameter. You can change the size based on how many butterflies you decided to make.

Step 5: Paint

Then, paint it. I chose black but you can use whatever color you would like to.

Step 6: Make the Holes

Since I had 7 butterflies, I made 7 holes. I used an exacto knife but any sharp tool will work.

Step 7: Add the String

Now, string different lengths of string through each of the holes, and secure them to the other side with tape or glue.

Step 8: Attaching the Butterflies

Finally, attach the butterflies to the ends of the string, and you're done!
