Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures. There are so many objects that you can create from Origami. For this tutorial is a simple Origami Lotus Flower.

Supplies

Origami paper or paper that in the shape of a square

Step 1: Knowing the Paper

This step only matters if using origami paper. The pattern side is called the front and the blank side is the backside.

Step 2: Pre-Folding Pt.1

Fold the paper diagonal and unfold on both sides. Then repeat for the other side.

Step 3: Pre-Folding Pt.2

Fold the paper vertical and unfold. Then horizontal and unfold back.

Step 4: Fold Corners to the Center 1

Take one of the corners and fold it to the center. Repeat again for the rest of the three corners.

Step 5: Fold Corners to the Center 2

Take one of the new corners and fold it to the center. Repeat again for the rest of the three corners.

Step 6: Fold Corners to the Center 3

Take one of the new corners and fold it to the center. Repeat again for the rest of the three corners.

Step 7: Fold Corners to the Center 4

Now turn the Origami on to the other side. Take one of the new corners and fold it to the center. Repeat again for the rest of the three corners.

Step 8: Fold in the Corners

Fold in the four coners of Origami piece.

Step 9: Pop Out the Corners

Be very careful with this step because if done to fast the paper can rip. Push down on the small folded corner, and peel back of the corners on the other side. Then the overall fold should pop up. Repeat again for the rest of the three corners.
