Of course, it was hard to get the good materials in the past. Nowadays it’s not a problem – you can buy them in the small handmade shops, online (www.craft-e-corner.com/), and even in the supermarkets.

Well, let’s make a greeting card, using the quilling technique. In this case, the flowers will be impressive and stylish. Depending on the number of the flowers and size of the greeting card, it takes about a half an hour or an hour to create this present. Please be patient.

Now, what do you need? Take:

  • thin cardboard or paper of different colors;
  • scissors;
  • figured scissors (not necessary);
  • double sided tape;
  • glue stick or PVA glue;
  • ribbon;
  • quilling tool or a brochette wooden stick;
  • beads and sequins.

There are seven steps to create an original cute greeting card. Let’s start.

Step 1:

Cut the paper circles of different sizes. Then, cut each of them spirally from the edge to the center. You can use ordinary or figured scissors (figured scissors will make the flowers carved).

Step 2:

Form the flowers, twisting them in a spiral from the edge to the center with a quilling tool if any, or with a small wooden stick. After you have twisted the flowers, fix the center of the spiral with glue.

Step 3:

Fold the cardboard, it will be the basis for the greeting card. Put the flowers on the card and check if there are enough of them.

Step 4:

Cut a rectangle slightly smaller than the basis. Put double sided tape in the middle of this rectangle and glue it on the card. It will be a background.

Step 5:

Cut a vase for flowers out from the dark paperboard. Glue it to the background using the double sided tape.

Step 6:

Glue the flowers to the background, creating a bouquet. If you glue them as close to each other as possible, the bouquet will be magnificent.

Step 7:

Glue a bow-knot and a piece of paper with an inscription on a vase. You can also glue beads in the center of the flowers. Decorate a greeting card with sequins.

Congratulations, you have made a wonderful, original and nice greeting card.
