Introduction: USB 5 Volt Charger

About: I am a nerd. I enjoy building robots, programming, and 3D printing/designing. I am on a FIRST Tech Challenge team, team 4433 Smokin' Motors from Pennsylvania. We won 4 out of 7 competitions within the past …

Hello instructables surfers! this is my first instructable, so bear with me. also, i made this charger before i made the instructable.

REQUIREMENTS:

must have skills in:
soldering
hot glueing
Legoing

parts:
Legos
motorized lego robot power pack
4 RECHARGEABLE batteries
USB socket

Lets get started

Step 1: Gather Parts

you will need rechargeable batteries, the power pack, and legos

Step 2: Solder

you can solder two wires going from positive to negative in both battery slots

Step 3: Put Together Legos

1. build this
2. build both
3-4. build this, the both are the same, just flipped over
5. put step 3 & 4 under step 1
6. all parts put together
7. final lego housing

Step 4: Put Together Everything

refer to steps 2, 3, and 4 in Easy rechargable portable ipod/USB Recharger  to get the proper usb socket wiring.  also make sure the wire socket lego brick is put on the terminal correctly.

Thanks for reading this, and good luck on building it.  now, you can make a charger from anything, but I just chose this because I never play with my lego robot monkey anyway.
