Luke Crocker is an independent researcher with a background in various martial arts before settling on the nine traditions of Masaaki Hatsumi. He currently runs the Classical Martial Arts Research Academy (CMARA), and online presence dedicated to the translation and research of Japanese sources on the martial arts, and is a representative of the Institute of Martial Arts and Sciences (IMAS), dedicated to promoting professionalism and quality in the martial arts worldwide.
