Right, this is wrong in the article. "0x" is the prefix for a hex number. All direct initialization in the form of 0x and then 8 binary numbers should be in the form 0b and then the 8 binary numbers. Note this is not standard ANSI C, but it works in Atmel Studio.
I plan to use it to measure the crystal of a project for a customer, would be cool if you could annotate the components in my image.
I'm sorry, unfortunately nearly all components, I'm new to RF design. Attached is an image where I labeled all components where I'm not sure. Maybe you can just write a list what component it is, like A=22nH, B=3k etc.And do you have a Digikey part number for the SMA connector? I guess there are different types with different footprints. Also a recommendation I can buy at Digikey for the pogo pins would be good.If you like, I can try to make a proper KiCad circuit diagram and board from it, and a Digikey parts list, so that it is easier for others to build it. Do you think adding silk screen for the component identifiers would influence the performance?
Interesting project, I plan to build one. I already ordered the PCB and I found the parts list in your paper, but could you upload your original Eagle files as well? Because then I can see where I have to place which part, which is not obvious for me, because there is no silk screen.
Also how thick should the board be? I'm trying to find a manufacturer who can do ceramic or Teflon, but I will also try standard FR4, because the other options are getting really expensive (found one manufacturer with "Rogers", which costs $150 instead of the usual $2 for FR4 boards nowadays). I guess FR4 will work up to a few 100 MHz?
