Did you have to chop down 500 trees to get it built?

I have a powered water bottle dispenser that puts out nasty, rusted water, but still has a working compressor, would that compressor work for this? I now live in a place with drinkable tap water and no longer need the dispenser even if it can be repaired. Also, will a party helium tank work as an air tank? Since they're inexpensive and the gas inside isn't flamable or toxic?
- H3xx commented on JGJMatt's instructable 3D Printed Omnidirectional Bluetooth Speaker
My problem with Bluetooth speakers is that you can only stream to one. I would very much like to see a wifi alternative so that I can stream to multiple speakers on a network, preferably using the phone or pc's audio, not just an internet based source like Spotify.
View Instructable »I think a pi 0w with a pirate audio line out would replace your bluetooth board easily I think, if I'm reading the linuxese correctly, that Mopidy and Snapcast will net me the results I'm looking for. I'm hoping to 3d print a base like yours, but instead of a battery, I want to use a lightbulb socket adapter and a usb charger to be able to add permanent, wireless audio speaker lamps all over the house without rewiring the house.

I probably would have just cut door into it from the basement, since it's right there... the hatch is a bit of a falling hazzard and in the future when you're older, climbing the ladder will be a bit of a pain. Other than that, absolutely brilliant execution.

Would ElectroEtching work instead of chemical etching? I have a workbench power supply and would rather not use acids.
- H3xx commented on Maximous's instructable Print Conductive Circuits With an Inkjet PrinterView Instructable »
Alternatively, you could just purchase a cheap cnc pen plotter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Router-Drawing-Plotter-Writ...and pair it with a silver conductive pen like this : https://www.amazon.com/CircuitWriter-Conductive-In...and use that to make circuit boards. I say this purely because modding a printer is a hassle, and the ink is no longer available. The resolution on that cnc plotter looks pretty good. find a good transparency that the pen will mark on and you can print flexible pcbs. you'll just have to use conductive glue instead of solder,

By flipping the image and making a second cut, one could fairly easily turn a 2d image into a full sculpture... and by tweaking the mirror image, one could turn a 2d image into an asymmetrical 3d sculpture. There's a lot to consider here. Thanks for the Instructable.

I know this sort of goes against the spirit of this site, but there's literally an attachment you can purchase for this. https://www.amazon.com/D4088-Lathe-Attachment-Drill-Press/dp/B005W16YJS/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=drill+press+lathe+attachment&qid=1590762501&sr=8-2

What exactly is a "Half packet of powdered Milk?" I have a gallon bag of powdered milk that makes something like 12 gallons. I use it for cooking recipes that call for milk because I wind up drinking regular milk.

I get that. Plant Lechtin from fleshy fruit vegetables like tomatoes is apparently pretty horrible for our digestive systems. But I stll get this weird twinge in my mind whenever I see a paleo meal that isnt nuts, berries, and steak. Lol.
- H3xx commented on HollyMann's instructable Paleo Cinnamon Rolls RecipeView Instructable »
I'm not knocking the recipe, but somehow I think cinnamon rolls kinda go against the spirit of a paleo diet... The idea is to eat what cavemen would eat right? Just a comment expressing my cognitive dissonance.

Turn off that Racket!!! lol. Awesome build. might be cool to restring the racket with metal wire and mount a thin magnetic pickup on the back side. That also sounds like a lot of work too...

I have a few spare pickups laying about. Couldn't I use one of those turned sideways instead of using the buzzer pickups?

- H3xx commented on lewisb42's instructable Abrasive Personality -- 12 Pound Combat RobotView Instructable »
I see the idea, but it seems that the sanding belts aren't abrasive enough. What you need is something with a lot more bite. Assuming Chainsaw blades are allowed, a row of them would chew up anything. If they're not, then multiple rows of small saw blades would work as well, having each of the rows turn into each other like the blades on a paper shredder would work. They should latch onto any rubber or plastic wheel and tear it up.

Seems like this entire project is nothing but an advertisement for NextPCB. Everywhere I can find that it's been posted it has no stl files at all.
