8 years on I tried some whipped coconut cream from Trader Joe's last night- I'd never noticed it before because I avoid the bizarre mixes that create liquids to resemble milk. Many make me sick, some instantly. Only recently have some appeared that don't. I'm not sure if stevia-sugar substitution matters. Your body responds to the taste of any sweetener as sugar. The amount used in this (vanilla and sugar = Chantilly Cream) is really quite small, on a practical level. I have the best Thai coconut milk brand cited on hand and delicious pasteurized (not ultra pasteurized) heavy cream from Costco. Time for a taste and texture comparison. Thanks for the idea!

I'd say chilled. You can't heat heavy cream without having it separate.

I imagine this could be used to carbonate water as well. I've used Carbon Dioxide instead of Nitrous Oxide for whipped cream and I remember it had a sensation of being carbonated and may have wilted quickly. Meanwhile, I'm on a quest for delicious, hard whipped cream that stands up to finishing a bowl of fruit on a hot day.

"The spine goes in a completely different way"? Oh dear. That's not good. Mine did but you'd not do it much differently on a t-shirt. Did you see multiple spines? More vertebrae like a lucky, lucky cat? new and exciting angles? Now I have to ponder possible differences and be confused. 🧐Please excuse my humor… it leaks out at times…

I’ve tried many and gotten two. I think it’s hard in a xeric zone so if they’re overlooked for a day they die. Sometimes they seem fine but they mildew. My technique, so to speak: wrap in damp strong paper towel, place in berry box on a shallow tray in microwave with the stove surface light on providing gentle heat. In Colorado it’s important to keep them where they aren’t subject to room air, etc because they’ll dry out. I try to rinse the paper towel daily, keeping the leaves out when they appear but the roots in the towel. They need to be pretty big before planting in seed starter; at least 4 leaves, maybe more. I lost some at that stage. Once roots are established in the seed starter they’re less fussy. I haven’t repotted out of the short, broad clay pot; I suspect being pot bound will…

Yeah, I don't think toilet is what he meant. I don't know what it was though.
There was a lovely book that came out a dozen years ago or so discussing the known history of apples and Johnny Appleseed. European and Asian early trees had a huge variety of habits and sizes from creeping plants to vines to huge oak tree sizes. Breeding has obviously changed them a lot but there's a seed bank of original plant's seeds for research, next generation for interested parties. I'd love to do it. I imagine Johnny Appleseed had decent success because he had a lot of practice and a lot of seeds. If anyone knows what the book is could you let me know since I can't recall?

I tried one and it was dreadful. Unusable. I found it worth spending the money for a real bruxism guard from my dentist… they are your teeth (jaws, skull…) after all. What animals die when they lose their last teeth? Elephants? I could understand taking a mould of the dental guard when you pick it up from the dentist, even with this material, and casting another if you need it. (Like if the dog opens the nightstand drawer, removes the case, opens it carefully, takes out the guard and takes it away to explore and sample it. Clever, clever Siberian Husky.)Can we have a moratorium on free advertising for the large store with the name beginning with "W"? They can well afford to do their own advertising.

It sounds like you're not in the US. I can head over to my fantastic locally owned hardware store and buy xylol and naphtha (as well as other solvents). Some Home Depot stores try harder/have more autonomy and may have a decent selection. (Never suggest economy killer walmart). I notice a lot of solvents are associated with, but not exclusive to particular technologies or materials like fiberglass. Maybe you can find specialty suppliers for some of the solvents you can't find locally to you. Turpentine sounds horrible as a substitute since it's slow drying. How about acetone? I'm happy I found this to experiment with pens and other things I already have. Thanks.

Nice and the video isn't full of filler! That's important.I've made many of these (but have no images handy) and many have been great. A frequent variation when my girls were young was to attach the "found fabric" to a basic t-shirt from the sewing and craft supply stores M******* or J*-**** (not the W*&%#)@! one!). I'd cut the t-shirt to an appropriate back waist length and just sew the fabric on and often end up with a most adored dress.I wonder why you cut off the entire top hem of the curtain along with the tabs instead of just the tabs? For your demo it seemed the tabs were stitched with the hem, folded up and stitched into place with a single line of straight stitch so picking out the straight stitch and removing the tabs or even picking out the small areas holding …

In the study and technology of packaging and materials- there are two universities that offer degrees; one is the University of Michigan (I think) and the other is a smaller school in North Carolina (again, I'm not certain)- the sheets of material you used are properly referred to as "corrugated" because it's the inner corrugated layer that gives it the strength so you might want to change it from "card" to corrugated. A podcast covered the material very thoroughly not long ago; I think it was "Stuff to Blow Your Mind" but if it wasn't I can't imagine it would be very hard to find. They brought in an amazing amount of detail like how long it would take to run out of raw materials we didn't recycle, why China wants our cardboard, the history of accepting it…
