Thanks for the tip about mixing 100% silicon caulking and mineral spirits for waterproofing. I was thinking of buying gaiters but why not just beef up the legs on my convertible North Face pants. They look pretty waterproof now after three layers. First I sprayed on a thin solution, not waterproof enough. Second I painted on a thicker solution, not waterproof enough. On my third attempt, I made a pancake syrup consistency solution by shaking in a wide mouth plastic bottle. I pushed my North Face legs into the bottle and below the solution surface, then shook it some more. After wringing out the excess, I let it dry out for a couple days.It looks good and I'm anxious to test it in the rainy woods. The zippers still work, the color doesn't match the shorts, and it added a couple ounces.
Our little yard has a succulent hidden in the shade and I was able to brighten it with my new reflector. I liked the way combination of WB3000k and reflector made plant stand out from fence.
The security guard perked up but did not tell me to stop.
I walked a mile to Queen Kaahumanu Center with my GorillaPod, GoPro, and Sony Experia. I liked the timelapse clips best but bumped the camera a few times.https://youtu.be/uUarK8QItQQ
We took our grandson to Kanaha Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary. I enjoyed experimenting with camera positions and perspective.

Using my GoPro Hero 5 I made a series of photos at different WB settings. Once in the late afternoon and again the next day at 12:30 PM.
I have been using a Panasonic TS3 on my kayaks with mixed results. I'm looking to improve my skills and equipment. GoPro with its remote control capabilities should allow exploring new kayak mounting options.
I'm trying to figure out my new GoPro.
Andrew,Please use my camera mount ideas. If you have time let me know what works and what doesn't work for you.Thanks....lyle
