Created during a hackathon at the Restart Foundation, CrutchAttach began when the inventors responded to a simple but powerful challenge raised by Anton, a wounded participant: “How can I use stairs or carry something when both hands are busy with crutches?” The team — made up of designers, engineers, and rehabilitation professionals — developed a magnetic connector that binds forearm crutches into one unit, instantly freeing up a hand for daily tasks.
