
With out a doubt amongst the legitimate giants of jazz tenor saxophone is Sonny Rollins. Born in Harlem, Big apple in 1930 Sonny started researching piano and alto saxophone at age 11. When Sonny turned 16 he switched to tenor saxophone to be able to emulate considered one of his idols, the nice Coleman Hawkins, who lived in his community.
