While Im sure this will work well in the short term you really need a bearing or something where the tire attachs to the frame as well as washers and locknut or lock washers. The 2 carbiners is a good idea
yes i thought about that but i set a goal to do it in 2 hours. but thx for the advice
You know, this is a great idea for a quick cart. I am welding one for a homeless man right now and it is not easy designing something while you are learning a new skill! I will have to take pics and upload an ible. My goal is to make a cart that will haul a push mower, a blower, weed eater and a few small hand tools for him. He is older and diabetic, and he is concerned that it will be too heavy. I am concerned that it will stress the frame if the metal is not thick enough, never having welded before. We are using kid's bicycle wheels, thin metal walls and thin wood with support under it. We can replace that when it finally breaks. I happen to have an old backpack lying around...liking this cart idea lately!
anyone it's good to improving, but still the primeval idea was just great.
Some good ideas here, but I don't think there is a very good margin of safety. I would hate to have this come apart on the road, it could be very dangerous.
yea that would stink but i try not to go to fast when i have it on
