This is my first instructable so I wanted to do something simple. I'm going to show you how to make simple flares. Just to tell you, the picture is something that I copied and pasted so it will not look like this.

Step 1: Materials

For this you will need:
-matches
-aluminum foil
-a lighter (preferably the long ones)
-needle nose pliers

Step 2: Assembly

No pics here so I'll describe how to make it.
First, get a match.
Second, get a piece of foil about 1.5in by 1.5in.
Third, wrap the head of the match in the foil.
Last make a hole in the foil at the tip of the match head.
You are done!

Step 3: Using

Grab the wooden part of the match with the pliers. Point it away from yourself, others, and flammable stuff. Heat up the foil with the lighter and soon a flame will shoot out of the hole.

Use this at your own risk, don't blame me if you get hurt. This is also my first instructable so its really bad, I also made it on the school computer.
