How to use the IR pen on PC for touchscreen without a camera

Step 1: WHAT YOU WILL NEED AND HOW MUCH IT COST

hello my name is anuga ekanayake and i am the owner of AE_STUDIO

I have found a way to build a IR pen smoothboard touchscreen without using your camera and has no errors.

so here is what you will need:

1. wiimote (wiimote plus is also good)- $3-$60

2. IR pen- $6-$18

3.Bluetooth adapter (could be built in if you have a dell laptop)- $0.99-$189

4. smoothboard and bluesoliel software (Its free just get it from the links below)

Step 2: STARTING OFF

First lets install the bluesoleil to the PC so you can connect you wiimote to PC

follow steps below:

1: setup the software

2: open the software

3: put your wiimote in front of your PC( in a distance)

4: on the back of the wiimote there is a red button near the batteries just keep pressing that so the 4 blue light on the wiimote would not stop blinking

5:click on the big yellow circle in the middle on Bluesoleil

6: click on the game controller on Bluesoleil

7: click on the mouse located in the top icons

8: wait til it establishes connection( make sure the 4 blue lights on the wimote is blinking all the time)

9: Bluetooth setup is finished go to next step

Step 3: SETTING UP THE PEN

Before we set up the pen we need to setup the smoothboard software

follow the steps below to setup the smoothboard:

1: setup the software

2: open the smoothboard air with duo

3: make sure the wiimote is connected to it

follow the steps below to setup the IR pen:

1: make sure the wiimote is at the right angle( in the smoothboard wiimote bar it should be atleast 25% for it to have a good angle)

2: go to calibrate

3: take out the IR pen and tap on your screen with the pen to hit the red targets( tap within a distance not too close, but you have to stay between the wiimote and the screen but do not cover you wiimote connection to the screen or it wont work)

4: if it works you just created a touch screen with a IR pen and now you can use it to do what ever you want
