Introduction: Toy for Caged Birds

I invented this little toy for my two cockateils so they would stop pulling eachothers feathers out. they love ripping it apart and eating the food inside. it keeps them entertained for hours and has reduced their bullying. it also stops them from screaming when i try to watch tv.

to make this you need:
bird seed,
a funnel,
a tall glass,
A4 paper,
a non toxic glue stick,
coconut hair(optional)and
your birds favourite treat.

Step 1: Glue the Paper

put a line of glue down one of the long edges.
not too much, just enough for it to stick.

Step 2: Roll It

roll the paper into a tube.
and keep it together at the glue line.

Step 3: Twist It

twist one end about 2 inches in.
then put it in the glass.

Step 4: Fill It

put the funnel in the open end and half fill it with the bird seed.
then add the other stuff into it.

Step 5: Shake It

put your hand over the top and give it a good shake.

Step 6: Twist It Again

tist the open end about 2 inches to enclose the food.
then make a small hole at one end with an appropriate tool eg.a skrewdriver or a pointy object,(but be careful) to start off the bird.

Step 7: Put It in Cage

push the toy through the bars. you can squeeze the food inside, so the toy fits through the bars.

Step 8: DONE

watch your happy birds rip the toy to pieces and eat the food.
they also like to perch on it sometimes.
