Introduction: Christmas Puppy Chow | Muddy Buddies

About: Hey y'all! My name is Lydia and I want to share my passion for cooking/baking with everyone!

Have you ever had Puppy Chow? Now I do not mean the puppy chow that you feed your puppy, I mean this delicious chocolatey, peanut buttery goodness covered in powdered sugar. I've made mine for Christmas because it's the holidays so I've added Christmas sprinkles to the mix but if you don't care for the sprinkles just omit them or you can change it up and use other sprinkles or candy for other holidays. If you want to learn how to make Christmas Puppy Chow, follow along with these simple step by step instructions or watch the video below. Let's go!

Supplies

Step 1: Ingredients

  • 9 cups Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 smooth peanut butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup festive sprinkles
  • Weight Converter (if you need help converting the measurements)

Step 2: Combine Butter, Chocolate Chips and Peanut Butter

Measure cereal and place in a very large mixing bowl. Set aside. Add butter, chocolate chips and peanut butter to a small saucepan.

Over medium heat, melt and combine butter, chocolate chips and peanut butter, stirring constantly. When fully melted, take off heat and stir in vanilla.

Step 6: Add Cereal to Powdered Sugar

Add Chex cereal in stages, tossing to cover.
