100% Pallet Lamp

Introduction: 100% Pallet Lamp

Hello,

This is Jonesy with Jonesyfamilystore (facebook.com/jonesyfamilystore). I've been doing a lot of projects like: hair sticks, Pet & People Urns, wine/liquor boxes - cabinets & crates, lamps, business card holders, picture/document frames and more.

This is 100% Pallet Wood. I took a Pine pallet apart, saving the nails to reuse. I cut off bad ends, trying to save some for looks and ran it all through the planer. I cut them short to size and ripped them into nice strips. I ran a Dado down each leg for the strips. I started with the lamp upside down & started adding the strips, putting an 1/8th" dowel between each strip. When I ran out of strips I used panels.I finished the top with panels, found a good center point and drilled my hole for the lamp kit rod ( I drilled the hole 1/64" smaller than the rod stock to give it a snug fit ). I installed and wired the lamp kit, found a good bulb and was done. I'm think of adding Jute rope for a hanger strap, the lamp is only 2.7 pounds so it would hang nicely.

Oh, 1 more thing. In picture 4, it looks like Pallet Eyes looking at you.

I hope you enjoyed the video and the Pallet project. Lamp is up for sale on Facebook for just $55.

Thanks,

Jonesy
