Introduction: 2 Minute Pie Crust

Make the perfect pie crust in less than 2 minutes!

Step 1: Tools and Materials

Pie Crust:
Pie Pan
Food Processor
Oreo-style Cookies* (with the filling)

Pie Filling
Pudding Mix

*I like to buy the cheap ones that are "assorted", meaning you can make chocolate crusts, light-colored crusts, etc. This really is a lot easier than making graham-cracker crumb crusts, and a lot cheaper than buying one in the store. A pre-made 9" crust costs $1.99, a Value-Pack of Assorted Cookies costs $1.89. Not a significant difference you say? Maybe, but the crust only takes 7-8 cookies. There are enough cookies in the pack to make 8 pies. that means you pay less than 25 cents per pie crust, that's over 750% off the price of a pre-made pie crust!

Step 2: Crust

For a 9 inch diameter pie pan, select 7-8 of the best and most delicious looking Oreos. This can be determined by opening the package, and taking the first 7-8 you come to. Another way is the "gladiator arena/fight to the death" method of cookie quality testing, but we'll just use the first method, as we're trying to keep the total time under 2 minutes.

Place the 7-8 Oreos one at a time into a running food processor to turn them into crumbs. Then Empty them into a 9 inch diameter pie pan. Starting with one side, use clean hands to firmly press the crumbs against the wall of the pie pan all the way around. Continue using the same method for the bottom of the pie pan, making sure it's even all over.

It's done! Place it in the freezer to harden. I'm using mine for a pie-eating contest, so I'm just going to fill it with chocolate pudding. Follow along in the next step if you're interested, if not, good luck and god speed.

Step 3: Pudding

Alright, now that we have the pie crust done, it's a simple matter of following directions on the box.

Put the milk in the mixer, add the powder, and go. When it's done, take the crust out of the freezer, pour the pudding in, and you're done. Again. Put it in the fridge to cool, then enter a pie-eating contest with it.
