Introduction: 30 Sec Cute Updo - DIY Hair Accessory
As much as I like my long hair, in summer I like it better in a bun. I used to spend 30 minutes and around 20 bobby pins to make my hair look the way I like. And every night taking each bobby pin one by one was also time consuming.
In this instructable I'll show you how to make this awesome messy hair updo in less than 30 seconds, it's so easy that I don't even need a mirror!
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
Thin elastic
Scissors
Four small claw clips
Step 2: Make the Hair Accessory
Cut two pieces of elastic 3 inch long.
Take two claw clips and one piece of elastic.
Insert the elastic though the middle of the claw clip, opening it.
Make a knot at the end.
Repeat with the other end, and then repeat with the second piece of elastic and the last two claw clips.
Step 3: Make the Bun
To make the updo, make a pony tail, grab all the hair with one hand.
With the other hand put the claw clips close to where the pony tail starts.
Make them cross to form an x. As shown in the picture.
Let it go, and that's it.
You are ready to go, you'll look great and no one could tell it only took you 30 seconds to get this hairstyle.

This is a GREAT IDEA! However, it seems to me that U need to start with nice curly hair like U already have. Unfortunately, my hair tends to be frizzy. Well, suppose I could set it on curlers and then just bunch it up this way! Oh! THANKS!! I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! ...UGH! The prospect of all that curling!!! ...Well, 5B it could last for a few days!!! OH! Just remembered that I got a package of transparent colored plastic plant clips which are dragon flies! Think they're available in other forms too! Can be bought in bulk! 4got where I got these! Mail order from s'where in Florida! Oh! this could make it really fun!!! Could even stick flowers in there too!!! May have ordered thru amazon.com!? But actually found out about them thru online Hoya "expert" in Vermont, Don Chamberlain was his name, I think! Just wrote him to ask again!
