3D Printed PUZZLE BOX DICE and KEYCHAIN

Use 3D printer and make an easy, small, cute, and smart cubic puzzle box which can be surprising. I made a keychain with secret pocket so that it's not an ordinary one for use. And it can be used in dice and etc. Here's the instruction based on making keychain.

This Cubic puzzle box consists of four parts:

1. Body - Main cover base
2. Head - Cap of a secret pocket with a lock
3. Foot - Main body of the secret pocket inside
4. Key - A key to unlock secret pocket

LET'S BEGIN

Step 1: 3D Sketch Body

Starting from the cube Body, Here is the picture guide of sketches which include order of drawings, measurements step by step. Use this and sketch it in your type such as changing its size for your interest.

Step 2: 3D Sketch Head and Key

In this line we have 2 parts

First is the head part which will be shown in the front. You can sketch any shape or logo on top of the head.

Second one is the key. It must be fit to the shape you sketched on top of head and will be used to unlock by rotating. The thing you should know is that the size of the shape on key must be smaller or bigger than on the head depending on your design.

Step 3: 3D Sketch Foot

The last part is the foot. It holds the secret within itself 😉 And also helps the head to come out.

Step 4: Ready to Print

Here are the sketches of keychain with several shapes on its head, dice, and dice keychain.

You can download it and use immediately if you want.

Step 5: Print

Now's the time for print.

I used
Printer: Prusa i3 MK3S
Filament: PLA 1.75 and PETG 1.75
Nozzle: 0.4mm

Step 6: Prepare

After print, you can paint the keychain surfaces or the number holes of the dice. If you think it's fine, you don't have to.

In case of keychain, we connect the keys to it

Then we need to write a message in it. Write what you want on a paper and roll it.

Step 7: Assemble

Now we have everything we need to assemble. Follow the orders shown on the pictures below step by step.

Don't forget to rotate the key on the head.

Step 8: Enjoy!!!

Well done. Use this idea to give a message in fun way and surprise, impress or even prank someone you love during these quarantine days.
