Introduction: 60's/70's Inspired Flower Chains
Do you ever feel like you were born in the wrong generation? You can feel like you lived back then with these flower chains!!
Step 1: Supplies
To make your very own flower chains, you will need the following supplies:
String (preferably green, so it looks like a vine)
Colorful Construction Paper (for the flowers)
Brown Construction Paper (for the center of the flowers)
Green Construction Paper (for the leaves)
Scissors
Pencil
Ruler
Tape
Glue
Step 2: To Make the Flowers
The first step to make the flowers, is to draw a circle that is 2 1/2 inches in diameter onto the colorful construction paper
Take that circle and use it as a template to trace the other circles with
The amount of flowers you need will vary depending on how long you want your chain to be
Step 3: Make the Circle Look More Like a Flower
Take the circles you cut out, and draw a pattern like the one show above, and than cut on the lines
Step 4: Make the Centers of the Flowers
To make the center of the flowers, take the brown construction paper and draw a circle that is 1/2 inch in diameter
Then take the center you just made, and glue it in the center of the flower
Step 5: Make the Leaves
Draw leaf like shapes on the green construction paper that are about an inch long, after when you cut them out use the marker to draw the design of a leaf as shown above in the second picture
Step 6: Putting It All Together
Get the string, and tape the backs of the flower and leaves to the string
You should space the flowers and leaves out
Step 7: Hang It Up!
Now you are done and can hang up your flower chains wherever you want! Some suggestions: Bordering your closet or your doorway
