Introduction: 8 Peanut Snacks for Peanutaholics

About: Inspired by my cat Chili, who is full of fun and energy, I like to share about food and other home crafts with a new twist of 'chili'-fun. (This user was previously called Snowball10)

My brother has nominated me to peanutaholic. One year, he even gave me a pound of peanuts for my birthday because I like them so much. I eat peanuts all the time -- perhaps you would say I am addicted.

Of course, the roasted nuts or a spoonful of peanut butter is utterly delicious in itself, but you get tired of it in the long run. Here are several ways I have taken peanut snacks to a whole new level.

There are many more peanut recipes that I like, but I chose these 8 snacks because they are instant. When I want a peanutty snack, I want it now! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Step 1: Frozen Banana Pop

Cover half of a frozen banana with peanut butter and roll in granola.

Step 2: Nutty Chex Mix

Mix 2 cups broken pretzels, 2 cups unsweetened cheerios, 1 cup almonds, 1 cup roasted and salted peanuts, and 1 cup salted cashews. Makes 7 cups. Store in airtight container or bag.

Step 3: Party Mix

Mix equal parts of roasted-and-salted peanuts and chocolate chips.

Step 4: Indulgence Spoon

A spoonful of peanut butter sprinkled with chocolate chips -- peanut butter-and-chocolate bliss!

Step 5: Banana Peanut Chocolate Smoothie

Blend 1 cup roasted, unsalted peanuts and 1/2 cup water in a blender until chopped. Add another 1 1/2 cup water, 3 cups frozen banana chunks, and 2 tablespoons cocoa powder and blend till smooth. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

Step 6: PB Cigars

Slather peanut butter in a line across the center of a flour tortilla. Drizzle with honey. Roll up the tortilla and enjoy!

(This is my favorite way to eat tortillas!)

Step 7: Baked Peanut Butter and Banana Toast

Spread a slice of whole wheat bread with peanut butter. Split 1/2 banana and place on top. Broil in the oven till the edges are crisp and golden. Enjoy immediately!

Step 8: Snickers Dip

Mix 3 tablespoons old-fashioned peanut butter, 2 tablespoons honey, and 2 teaspoons cocoa powder. Delicious on bread or as a dip (or by the spoonful!).
