Introduction: A Pigs Spa Day!

Making this cake is simple and fun. This cake takes a little over an hour including the time when the cake is in the oven. When making this cake, if you want to add or change some things you can; say you wanted to change the flavor of the cake or the color of anything, you can. If you want to make a beach instead of a pigs spa day you just use the color white and make the pigs surfboards, floaties, or sun umbrellas.

Supplies

  • 4 XL kit kats
  • 1 package of pink fondant(for the pigs)
  • Pink or Brown frosting
  • Cake mix(eggs, water, and oil)
  • Toothpicks
  • 1 package of chocolate chips(for the mud)
  • Pan
  • Cooking spray
  • Pot(for the mud)

Step 1: Making the Base.

First, put your cake mix in a bowl and add 3 eggs and the amount of water and oil that are needed. Then mix, when everything is mixed together spray the pan and add some flour to make sure there is no cake that sticks to the bottom after the pan is ready, dump the cake mix in, put it in the oven for the amount of time needed and that's it.

Step 2: Making the Mud.

The first thing to do when making the mud is to get a pot, milk, and chocolate chips out. Put the pot on the stove and turn the stove from 6.5 to 8.0 or somewhere in between medium and high. When that is done put about half of the chocolate chips in the pot as well as some milk. Let the chocolate chips melt and when they are done let them sit until you need them so they get that thick consistency.

Step 3: Making the Pigs.

To make the pigs you need to have pink fondant. With the fondant, you will want to make three medium balls with tails on top of them. When that is finished you want to make another medium ball then add a smaller ball on the upper backside of it using frosting. After you do that make the ears nose arms and other detail you want. Now to make the last pig, roll a medium fondant ball, then roll a smaller ball as the head. Now make the two arms and two legs when I made the arms and legs I just made small balls and shaped them. When making the details I recommend using a toothpick because they are a common item to find in the kitchen and are just the right size to make holes for eyes and noses.

Step 4: Assembling the Cake.

This is the hardest part because the cake will either stand or fall. The first thing you will want to do is take the cake out of the pan and make sure that the flat side is on the surface, I recommend using a knife or frosting smoother to cut the edges of the pan so the cake comes out easier. When you have removed the cake start to break the kit kats into sets of two. When there are sets of two, start adding frosting to the bottom half of them and then stick them to the cake. When you finish the kit kats start to slowly pour the melted chocolate chips into the middle of the cake/dome. When the chocolate is done if any of the kit kats fell you can put a ribbon around them. Now that the chocolate chips are in the dome put toothpicks into the bottom of the pigs and stick them where you want them to be. Make sure to push them all the way in so that no toothpick shows. And then you have your Pig Spa Day Cake!
