A Simple Sundial

This is a simple sundial you can make with household supplies. It tells time.

Supplies

A ruler, paper plate, a pencil, and some tape.

Step 1:

Measure the center of the plate.

Step 2:

Measure the times from 1 to 12 with a ruler.

Step 3:

Poke a hole in the center with a pencil.

Step 4:

Take the pencil out and put the straw in.

Step 5:

Fold the straw under the plate, and then tape it down.

Step 6:

Set the sundial in a sunny spot, and match it with the time. You have made a simple sundial.
