Introduction: Air Fryer Pancakes
Learn how to cook pancakes in the air fryer. This is not the best way to cook pancakes, in my opinion, but it does work and creates a slightly different texture, with the top becoming a little crispier. So if you ever need to make pancakes in your air fryer, this is one method you can try.

Supplies
I just halved my normal fluffy pancake recipe for this.
- 1 cup of flour (120g)
- 1/2 tsp of salt (2g)
- 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp of sugar (15g)
- 1 Tbsp of baking powder (12g)
- 1 cup of milk (240g)
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp of butter, melted (26g)
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, optional (2g)

Step 1: Make the Pancake Batter
Combine all the ingredients together in a medium to large bowl to make the pancake batter. I usually whisk the dry ingredients together first, then add the milk, egg, melted butter, and sometimes I add vanilla extract too.
Step 2: Prep the Pan
There are a couple of options you can use; the first one is a round cake pan that will fit inside your air fryer basket. Make sure to grease the pan with butter, shortening, or a thin coat of cooking oil.
Or you could also use this silicone air fryer egg and pancake mold. (affiliate link, as an Amazon Affiliate, I earn on qualifying purchases).
Then pour in some pancake batter, about 1/2 cup or so.
Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 350F/176C.
Step 3: Air Fry Those Pancakes
Once preheated, remove the basket and add the pan. Then, air fry for somewhere between 6 and 10 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean, and the pancake is lightly golden brown.
It won't be as brown as when done in a skillet or griddle, and the middle will likely mound up as it cooks, which is normal.
Step 4: Serve
Once cooked, remove the pan with tongs or use a hot mitt and then flip the pan over so the pancake falls out onto your plate. Use hot mitts or wait for the pan to cool for a few minutes.
Then serve your pancakes however you like. Enjoy!
