Introduction: Air Fryer Potato Chips

You too can make potato chips at home that are crispy and
don’t produce a huge mess or need lots of oil.


To make potato chips at home you need:

  • 4 potatoes
  • 5 tablespoons of canola oil
  • Sprinkling of Salt
  • A Borner/or similar V Mandolin Vegetable/Fruit Slicer Cutter
  • An AirFryer (T-Fal – Actifry)

Step 1: Peel Your Potato

Step 2: Place the Potato Into the Mandolin Slicer Holder

Step 3: Slice

Step 4: Place Slices Onto Skewer Sticks

Step 5: Spread Out the Slices

Step 6: Salt the Slices

Step 7: Oil the Pan, and Place the Skewers in the Pan

Step 8: Turn on the Airfryer, and Set to 20 Minutes

Step 9: At the 10 Minute Mark, Flip the Skewers

Step 10: Remove the Chips From the Fryer, and Skewers Onto Paper Towel


And if anyone is curious, this doesn't seem to work as well in the oven at 450 degrees F, for 30 minutes, as when flipping the chips at the 15 minute mark, the chips stick to the pan and slide together.

Perhaps a skewer rack that lifts up the chips over the pan may work in the future.
