Introduction:
The 555 timer IC is the one of the most useful and well known IC for everyone of us. My professional embedded Hardware carrier start two years back and in 2019 one my resolution is to prepare 45 different circuit using 555 timer IC for understanding the different [suggested By Team Leader :)]. I stated to work on it and by different resource available on internet specially by www.circuitstoday.com , www.circuitstoday.com and Texas Instrument I manged to learn about the 555 Timer IC and Understand the different concept related to time.
In this Instructable I am sharing different Eight application circuit of 555 Timer IC with some new approach. I prepared the Eagle Schematic and Layout Design with keeping the delivery of full understanding of 555 Timer IC with single standalone board.

So in the above design I have included the following circuit with Some information of 555 Timer IC and its Pin Configuration details. Also one 8 contact DIP switch is available to enable individual circuit where the basic information about the each application is available just below the circuit. Also I kept provision of pinhead and wire connector for testing output on different instruments.
Following are the Application circuit available on the Board:

1. Astable Multivibrator

2. Monostable Multivibrator

3. Bistable Multivibrator

4. LED Dimmer using PWM

5. Delay Generator before Turn ON

6. Servo Motor Driver

7. BJT Transistor Testing Circuit

8. Single Digit Counter

Step 11: Conclusion

Above design is the approach to give the Learner or Beginner single solution of 555 Timer IC understanding and Application Use. Also the timing concept understanding in the basic level.

    Hi, Very informative post, and useful as well. Loved the sheet where one can have some of the 555 most common operation modes in one place, But am i missing something or is there a short in the transistor tester circuit (right hand part of the circuit where theres a connection straight from vcc to GND)?

    Hello akanerd...Thanks for the comment, You are right there is a wrong connection in the transistor tester circuit. I missed to include the Voltage divider part at the end. I have updated the schematic with required changes.

    Operation of the circuit:
    Output pin 3 drives the circuit with a positive pulse then zero voltage. The other end of the circuit is connected to a voltage divider. This allows the LED5 and LED6 to alternately flash when no transistor is connected to the tester. If a good transistor is connected, it will produce a short across the LED pair then the voltage is in one direction and only one LED will flash. If the transistor is open, both LED’s will flash and if the transistor is shorted, neither LED will flash.
