Introduction: Instant Hot Chocolate

About: AKA Roborovski, and Cowscankill for several years. I'm a mechanical engineering undergrad.

It's getting that time again... It's fall already and winter is hiding behind the corner. Everyone loves hot chocolate, but why bring out the pots and stove when you got a microwave? This recipe tastes like stovetop Hot Chocolate, but is made instant in the microwave!

Comments, ratings, and pictures are welcome!

Step 1: Ingrediants!

So... You will need:
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp pure cocoa powder*
1 drop vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
1 cup of milk

Add all of the dry ingrediants, and then add the vanilla extract.

Step 2: Cooking

Mix the mixtur first, then nuke for 1 minute on HIGH in your microwave.

Step 3: Finishing

Stir the cocoa well, and break all clumps. Notice how much this looks like those cheap microwavable hot cocoa mix powders... But this is real. Quickly! If you want marshmellows, add them now before you drink it!

Enjoy!

Also, Spokeheds commented this:
"It should be noted that you can scale up the quantities of the dry ingredients and they keep dang-near-FOREVER in a nice big airtight container.

Also, here are the dry ingredients scaled up to make enough for 20 cups of chocolate. (which is about what I can drink in a week, in the winter.)

2 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/4 cups Pure Coco Powder
1 tablespoon Salt

The vanilla and milk you add at mixing time, obviously. :P"
