Introduction: Awesome Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip COOKIES!!

Hello Everyone,

This is a instructable teaching you a recipe to make good cookies. This recipe is not only easy but fun and pretty much anyone can do it. It is just about as simple and elegant as cookies get, but that is not the main point the main point is that the cookies are chewy and soft with just the right amount of chocolate. Now stop drooling over the cookies and let us start making starting with the ingredients we will need

Step 1: Ingredients

Now the ingredients that we will need are,

1. Granulated sugar - 100g or 1/2 cup

2. Brown sugar - 165g or 3/4 cup

3. Salt - 1 teaspoon

4. Unsalted butter melted - 115g or 1/2 cup

5. Egg - 1

6.Vanilla extract now I did not have vanilla extract so for a substitute I am using pancake syrup or maple syrup - 1 teaspoon

7. All purpose flour - 155g or 1 1/4 cup

8. Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon

9. Chocolate chips - as much as you want

10. Chocolate syrup this is optional

Step 2: Sugar Mixture

In a large bowl whisk in the sugars, salt, and butter until it is like a paste with no lumps. A tip with this is that if you only have soft butter then instead of using a whisk use a spatula and whisk it in a whisk motion.

Step 3: The Liquids

Now you should whisk in the egg and vanilla extract or maple syrup. A tip on this is to break the egg yolk before mixing to make it easier. The consistency should be thick enough to the point where if you lift your whisk, then it takes a few seconds before the bead from the spatula falls back into the mixture.

Step 4: The Dough

After that, you can add the flour and baking soda and use a spatula to fold the doughs over on itself multiple times. One tip is that it is easier to use your hands to do it make a foundation with the spatula then knead it by hand. You can also sift it to make the dough a little less clumpy. Knead it enough to the point where there are no clumps.

Step 5: Chocolate Chips

Now you can add chocolate chips to your heart's content just be sure to knead the dough again to evenly spread the chocolate chips. After that put the dough in the fridge for 30 mins. While it is in the fridge, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line the baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 6: Prep for Baking

Scoop the dough onto the baking sheet in about the size of a meatball. Keep at least one to two inches of space between each cookie. Now I made two batches one with no chocolate chips on top and one with chocolate chips on top we can take this opportunity to say that you can customize your cookies however you like. Bake until the edges are slightly brown or from 12 - 15 minutes.

Step 7: Syrup

Now, this is completely optional you can drizzle your cookies with whatever you want. That is the beauty of this recipe you can completely customize it to your liking. You could even put ketchup on your cookies if that what you want all though I don't advise it

Step 8: Conclusion

Now I have to thank you for looking at this tutorial on making cookies. Remember if you put your mind to it you can do anything. This recipe is fully customizable. Signing off for now and I will see you next time
