Axe Holder

I am making something to hold my axe when I'm not using it so that it isn't on the ground all the time.

Step 1: Wood Sizes and Type

I'm going to have to find wood that is thick enough and long enough so that it can hold the axe nicely and not be protruding out to much. The wood type is also very important because I'm going to be using a wood that can last outside for long periods of time because I'm going to be putting the holder outside onto a tree.

Step 2: Designing the Holder

I would then be designing the wood pieces so that the axe fits into it nice and snug so that it doesn't move around all to easily. I will also be putting on little designs onto the sides of the holder using the laser engraver so that it adds some personality to it.

Step 3: Cutting the Wood

After I'm done designing everything I will be cutting it into the actual shape that I want.

Step 4: Sanding the Pieces

I'm going to have to sand the individual pieces so that they fit a bit better together so that they they can be glued together much easier also.

Step 5: Gluing the Pieces Together

Once the pieces of wood are processed, cut ,and designed I will be gluing the pieces together so that they form the holder and so that they obviously stay together.

Step 6: Using It

I'm going to be mounting this holder to a tree around where I usually cut my wood.
