Supplies

1 8X5 loaf pan

Non-stick spray

Mixing bowls

Whisk or fork

Masher

Spatula

Oven

Measuring utensils

Ingredients:

1 ¾ cup of flour

2/3 cup of granulated sugar

½ teaspoon of baking soda

2 large eggs

1 ¼ teaspoon of baking powder

1/3 cup of unsweetened applause

3 brown bananas

½ cup of chocolate chips

Step 1: Preheat Your Oven to 350 Degrees.

Step 2: Mash the Brown Bananas in a Bowl.

A fork also will work for mashing the bananas.

Step 3: In Another Large Bowl, Cream Together the Applesauce and the Sugar.

Cream the applesauce and sugar together until it's well combined and has turned a light-yellow color.

Step 4: In the Same Bowl With the Applesauce and Sugar, Whisk in the Two Eggs One at a Time.

Crack the eggs one at a time into the applesauce and sugar mixture, and stir until both eggs are mixed in.

Step 5: Add the Mashed Bananas to the Egg/sugar/applesauce Mixture.

Combine the mashed bananas with the rest of the mixture.

Step 6: In Another Bowl Stir Together the Flour, Baking Soda, and Baking Powder.

Just stir these ingredients together until they are combined.

Step 7: Combine the Two Bowls and Stir Until Just Combined.

Using a fork or other utensil to stir, combine the two mixtures until there are no dry spots left.

Step 8: Next, Fold in the Chocolate Chips.

This step is optional if you would rather not add chocolate chips.

Step 9: Prepare Your Loaf Pan by Spraying It With Non-stick Spray.

I use Spam non-stick spray, but any type of non-stick spray will work.

Step 10: Dump the Batter Into the Pan.

I suggest using a spatula to get all the batter from the bowl.

Step 11: Bake in the Oven for 55 Minutes or Until the Top Is Brown.

CAUTION: It will be hot!

You can insert a toothpick in the middle of the loaf, and if it comes out clean then it is done.

Step 12: Let Cool and Enjoy!

Step 13: TIPS!

-To get bananas to brown faster, put them in the freezer or fridge.

-Use mini chocolate chips if making smaller loaves.
