About: Hi Everyone! So happy to be creative in this forum. I am a mother of three and love everything artistic, musical, robotic, healthy and fun. Healthy food swaps are what I love to introduce to my family and fri…

Being a mom of three I always look for healthy, easy to make, alternatives to staple food dishes. I don't ever want my children to feel deprived and for that matter me & my husband too! I love to experiment by swapping not so healthy ingredients with a healthy ones. The results are surprising and totally yummy!

So here is my go-to recipe when we are in the mood for ice-cream.

This recipe is dairy-free and is sweetened with dates, raw honey & pure maple syrup. Nothing will go in it that isn't pure bliss. All you need is a high-speed blender and some wholesome ingredients, and voilá! Easy to make too.

Supplies

Tools & Supplies:

High Speed Blender

Measuring cups and spoons

Pint-size Jars

Step 1: Gathering the Ingredients

Ingredients:

4 cups frozen bananas, about 4-6 bananas depending on size

1 can of coconut milk, about 2 3/4 cup, any nut milk or dairy-free milk will work too

4 dates

2 tablespoons of almond butter

2 tablespoons raw honey

2 tablespoons maple syrup

2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cinnamon

A pinch of sea salt

Step 2: Making the Ice Cream

First put everything in the high speed blender except the frozen bananas. Mix until smooth. Then add the frozen bananas to the mixture and mix until its well blended and creamy. Pour the mixture into the mason jars, and leave some room at the top, about an inch for expansion. Freeze for at least 5 hours for a semi-soft, creamy consistency, like soft serve ice-cream. Freeze for longer for a harder scoop of N~Ice~Cream. Serve. Top it off with frozen berries and enjoy! It's that easy. Serves 5
