Introduction: Basics Practice: Scaling Objects

Let's look at ways you can scale shapes on the workplane.

Instructions

  1. There are 9 handles that allow you to scale an object.
  2. Black handles will only effect one axis.
  3. White handles will effect two axis.
  4. Holding ALT on the keyboard when scaling will make the object will expand from the center.
  5. Holding SHIFT on the keyboard when scaling will scale the object on all axis equally.
  6. Continue to the next step.

Step 1: Scaling Height

Scaling the height of a shape can also be done with the handles.

Instructions

  1. When a shape is selected you will see a white handle is next to the black move arrow near the top of the shape.
  2. This white handle will scale an object's height.
  3. Continue to the next step.
