Introduction: Beautiful and Easy Quilled Flowers!

About: Hi there! This is Kavya, a final year computer engg student.

This is my first post in Instructables! In this project we will learn to make some cute quilling flowers. You'll hardly require 10-15 mins to make them. You can use different shades of quilling papers to make them look even more attractive. So lets begin! Happy learning!

Step 1: Things We Require

To make these flowers, we'll require:

1. Quilling papers

2. Quilling needle

3. Glue

4. Scissor

Step 2: Make the Petals

Create the inside of petals as shown in the pictures. You can give 4-5 turns to these petals, as per your requirement. In this picture, I have given 4 turns to the petals. Finally, glue the end portion of the petal.

Step 3: Make 5 Sets of the Petals

To make a single flower, we'll require 5 sets of the petals. Each set will contain 5 petals each, 2 small, 2 medium and 1 large sized petal. Arrange all the five sets as shown in the picture. Large petal in the middle with 2 medium petals on both of its sides and finally place the small petals. You can use 2-3 quilling papers of different shades, from the same color to give it a shaded effect.

Step 4: Glue the Petals Together

Take the arranged petals and glue them together, carefully. Let them dry.

Step 5: Cover the Petals

Give a covering to the petals. Press them a little to get the large petal shape. Finally, cover them with white quilling paper. This white quilling paper step is optional, but it'll provide additional firmness to the petals.

Step 6: Stick Them Together

Stick all the petals together.

Step 7: Make Eye/disk of the Flower

Take white quilling paper, along with the color which we used to make the petals and roll them using quilling needle and stick its ends. Finally, stick the eye on the flower, on its center. Try experimenting with different colored quilling papers to make them more beautiful. Thank you for viewing my post. Do try it and share your experience below.
