Introducing the Bio-Luminaire, a unique organic light crafted from clay sourced from the historic West Park River in Pretoria West. With over 50 years of community significance, this river's legacy is brought to life through this elegant fixture, topped with graceful ostrich feathers symbolizing antiquity and class. The Bio-Luminaire not only illuminates spaces but also sparks conversations about heritage and environmental conservation, inviting us to cherish our past and protect our future. Supplies

clay ,ostrich feather,gelatin ,glucose powder, water

Step 1:

mix your clay with water to the right consistency

Step 2:

spray release agent onto your vacuum formed mould of choice

Step 3:

Start moulding into your mould master

Step 4:

pop bottle cap for wiring

Step 5:

leave to dry for 3 days

Step 6:

mix your gelatin ,water,glucose powder with water

Step 7:

spread mixture all over the feathers put in line on a plastic and leave to dry for 3 days

Step 8:

remove the combined material from the plastic and prepare for assembly

Step 9:

remove the dry clay from mould & assemble

Step 10:

Assemble and have your light ready to use
