Introduction: Biscoff Rice Krispies Treats Recipe | 5 Ingredients

About: Hey y'all! My name is Lydia and I want to share my passion for cooking/baking with everyone!

Who can resist a soft and chewy bar of Rice Krispies with Biscoff added to the mix? I know I can't! Even if there wasn't Biscoff in these bars, I still wouldn't be able the resist a Rice Krispie treat (they are kind of addictive)! What makes these treats so good it that we are adding Biscoff Cookie Spread and mini marshmallows to add to texture and flavor. If you never heard of Biscoff cookies, it was created by a Belgian baker named Jan Boone Sr. and the cookie its self is caramelized and has a slight cinnamon flavor, the cookies spread is creamy (kind of like Nutella) and super addictive. If you want to see how these are made follow along as I make these Biscoff Rice Krispie Treats and check out my video tutorial, let's go!

Supplies

Step 1: Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (57 g)
  • 5 3/4 cups mini marshmallows; divided (286 g)
  • 3/4 cup Biscoff creamy spread, divided (135 g)
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal (128 g)
  • 12 Biscoff cookies, crushed

Step 2: Prepare Baking Dish

Spray a 9x9 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Crush 12 Biscoff cookies by placing them in a Ziplock bag and use a rolling pan to crush them. Make sure you are not cushing them to fine powder, you still want chunks.

Step 3: Melt Butter, Marshmallows and Spread

In large pot, melt butter over medium-low heat. Once completely melted, add in 5 cups (248 g) of marshmallows and 1/2 cup (90 g) Biscoff spread. Mix continuously over low heat until mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Add in Cereal

Remove from heat and quickly fold in cereal. I did this on my stove top with my oven off but I recommend taking the pot off the stove top.

Step 5: Add in Crushed Cookies and Remaining Marshmallows

Fold in the crushed Biscoff cookies and remaining 3/4 cup (38 g) marshmallows. I switched to a wooden spoon because it is easier to get everything combined.

Step 6: Add to Baking Dish

Using a buttered spatula or clean damp hands (this helps the mixture not stick to your hands), press the mixture into the prepared pan until even on top. Make sure the mixture is packed tightly into your baking dish.

Step 7: Drizzle Biscoff Spread on Top

Melt the remaining 1/4 cup (45 g) Biscoff and drizzle over treats. You can add as little or as much of the spread as you like, keep in mind that the more you add the less you see the tops of the Rice Krispie Treats.

Step 8: Cut and Enjoy!

Allow bars to fully to cool and then cut up and serve. Enjoy!
