About: I love making things for my family, and our home. I grew up in a very large family with a mom that could make the most out of what we had. I love trying to be creative, although it doesn't come easy to me. Bu…
I recently bought a cake pop machine and wanted to put it to a test. I've been thinking about testing out the bubble gum flavor in cake and thought the purple contest was a great chance to put it to the test, after all bubblegum looks good in purple too :)

Things you need for cake pops:
White or colored (purple in this case) candy melts
Cake mix with ingredients needed to make it
Bubblegum oil flavoring (bought mine at hobby lobby)
Food coloring
Cake pop maker with stand
Cake pop sticks (sucker sticks)

Things you need for candy jar:
1 glass bowl
1 ceramic flower pot
1 wooden circle the size of the glass bowl opening
1 wooden ball
Hot glue and gun
Acrylic paint (Purple in this case)

Step 1: Making Cake

Mix cake mix according to box.
Add 1/2 Tablespoon of bubblegum oil to cake batter.
Add food coloring until you reach the color desired and stir completely.
Pour the cake batter into a cake decorated bag and cut a small hole at the tip.
Then fill cake pop maker and bake until done according to your maker.
Let cool completely.

Step 2: Finishing Cake Pops

Melt your candy melts and add 1/4 Tablespoon bubblegum flavor oil and food coloring if you are making the colors.
If the chocolate thickens or clumps add a little vegetable oil to help it.
Then dip your cake pop stick into the chocolate and then into the cake pop.
Place them in the freezer for a few minutes.
Take them from the freezer and dip them into the chocolate.
Tap any extra chocolate off the cake pop.
Put into your cake pop stand and let them harden.
After the chocolate is hard carefully pull them off the sucker sticks.
If you don't want the visible hole you can cover it with some of the left over chocolate. (Not pictured)

Step 3: Prepare Parts for Candy Jar

Paint your flower pot, wooden ball, and wooden circle ( I bought mine at hobby lobby) Let dry

Step 4: Put It Together

Hot glue the glass bowl to the bottom of the painted flower pot.
Hot glue the painted wooden ball to the top of the wooden circle.
Place cake pops inside the jar when your jar is done cooling.
Enjoy and have fun!!!!
