Introduction: Candied Jalapenos Recipe | How to Make Cowboy Candy | White Thunder BBQ

Step 2: Gather These Ingredients
3 lbs Jalapenos
3 C White Vinegar
3 C White Sugar
1 t Black Peppercorns
1 t Mustard Seed
1/4 t Celery Seed
Step 3: Thinly Slice the Jalapenos
Step 4: Boil Ingredients
Add Vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, peppercorns and celery seed to a pot and bring to a boil.
Add the sliced peppers and cook for 5 minutes, stiring frequently.
Step 5: Add Jalapenos to Pint Jars
Remove peppers and add to sterilized pint jars.
Bring the sugar brine back to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.
Step 6: Add Bring to Jars
Pour the sugar brine over the peppers and leave 1/2'' head room.
Can them if you like.
Step 7: Wait 1 Week
These candied jalapenos go good on anything. Try them on a cracker with a smear of cream cheese!

It's been 3 years since I first made these and I plan on making them again because they were so good!

I got a can of these from my wife's grandmother last year, she bought them at a craft show those were fantastic. I found some at a grocery store and can say that they are not the same I hope your recipe matches the ones from the craft show.

I hope this recipe lives up to the craft shows....I had a similar experience....I had some from a local jam/jelly maker and I tried several times to recreate it. I think I nailed it with this recipe. Let me know how these turn out!!
