Introduction: Caramel Blondies

About: I love crafting, like stuff for toys. I also love baking, and I find many great recipes on here. That's all I have to say, cause' I can't think of anything else :)

Hello everyone! I wanted to make something for Halloween, and then I thought of these things! My family loves them. I wanted to do a costume tutorial, but I bought the stuff for mine, so not really homemade, more like carefully selected. But if anyone wants to go as Star Butterfly, just ask! These also taste great with nuts, but I didn't have any. If you really want to go Halloweenish, half the caramel glaze recipe and top with pumpkin ice cream.

Step 1: Preheat Your Oven to 325f and Line a 9" Square Baking Pan With Parchment Paper, Like This.

Step 2: The Blondies

In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup, or one stick, of unsalted butter with 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar. I used light, but dark will make these taste more like caramel. Either way, these will taste amazing! Anyway, set the pan over medium heat and stir until melted and smooth. Don't stop stirring, because sugar can burn and stick to your pan. Then, Pour into a large bowl and let cool slightly.

Step 3: Mix the Dry Ingredients

Gumball and Darwin are here to help again :)

In a small bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups all purpose or bread flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp salt. Set aside.

Step 4: Mix the Wet Ingredients

Add 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.

Step 5: Stir the Ingredients Together

Stir the dry ingredients into the wet until smooth.

Step 6: Pour and Bake

Pour into the pan and smooth out as evenly as you can and bake until a toothpick (Or fork, the holes will be covered with sauce) inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached, 20 to 25 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool completely.

Step 7: Caramel Sauce!

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/4 cup, or half a stick, of unsalted or salted butter with 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar, light or dark, and 1/2 cup heavy cream. Stir constantly. After melted, raise the heat to medium-high and let the mixture boil for 2 minutes, still stirring. Remove from the heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract. Let cool.

Step 8: Sift 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar, Then Stir Into the Sauce.

Step 9: Pour Over the Blondies, Cut Into Pieces, Eat and Enjoy! Thank Ya'll for Viewing, and Happy Halloween!
