Introduction: Chcken Parmesan Dinner

Here's a guide to a Italian dish for dinner, let's make some chicken parmesan.

Step 1: Sanitation

Wash hands for at least 20 seconds. If your not quite sure how long 20 seconds is just sing "Happy Birthday to you," and this would be enough time to ensure clean sanitized hands.

**It's very important when preparing food that you do so with clean hands to avoid cross-contamination.

Step 2: Ingredients Needed

Gather all required ingredients

  • 2.5 lbs of boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1 jar of your favorite tomato based sauce
  • 1 package of pasta-12oz to 16oz (Penne, Spaghetti, Linguine)
  • 8 oz package of cheese (Mozzarella, Parmesan or Italian)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
  • Seasoning (Italian, Garlic Salt and Pepper)
  • 1/2 lb of Italian Sauage

Step 3: Oven Preparations

Set the oven to 350 Degrees.

Step 4: Materials for Cooking

You will need the following iems in order to prepare the ingredients properly

  • 2 bowls
  • 1 wisk
  • 1 spatula or Spoon
  • 13Lx9W cookie sheet
  • 4 quart pot
  • 13Lx9W baking pan
  • Medium non stick skillet

Step 5: Cooking Pasta

Bring the water to a rapid boil and add a table spoon of salt (garlic or regular)

Pour pasta into the water and allow a cooktime of at least 10 minutes

Use your spatula to occasionally stir the pasta so it won't stick together.

Rinse pasta with cool water an set aside to allow time to cool.

****If you do not season the water the pasta will have a bland taste,so this step is very important.

Step 6: Breading the Chicken

Place the two bowls from your materials list side by side. In the first bowl you will add your 1/2 cup of bread crumbs and in the second bowl the two eggs. One at a time, crack each egg on the side of the bowl and open the eggs to dump the yolks and whites of the eggs into the bowl.Next take your wisk and stir the eggs until the whites and yolks are completely combined creating a wash.(milk or water can be added to the wash) Now take each chicken breast and coat it in the egg wash and the bread crumbs. Repeat this step for a complete even coat of the breading.

*** Be careful not to leave behind any shells from the eggs.

Step 7: Santiation

After handling raw poultry, wash your hands again.

Step 8: Oven Ready

After completely breading each chicken breast, place on cookie sheet and carefully place into the oven to cok for 15-20 minutes.

Step 9: Topping Your Chicken

Time to check your chicken, you want to make sure the coating of the chicken breasts are golden brown. If you have acheived the golden brown color you can now top your chicken with a table spoon of sauce and cheese. Set aside.

***When handling hot items, please use a oven mitt or dry towel to avoid burning yourself.

**For decoration and flavor I add italian season on top of the cheese

Step 10: Dress Your Pasta

Brown your 1/2 lb of italian sauge in a medium size skillet and drain grease.

In your 13X9 baking pan mix pasta, sauce, italian sauage and seasonings.

Top with cheese and bake for 10 minutes.

At this time you will also place your chicken back in the oven for 10 minutes.

Step 11: Time to Enjoy Your Finished Product

Yea.. We are done.

Using your oven mitt,remove the pasta and chicken from the oven and place on top of the oven.

Turn the oven off.

Allow at least 15 minutes to cool and plate for your friends, your family or yourself.
