Introduction: Christmas Card Ball

About: We love k'nex, 3d printing, electronics, painting and all sorts of other cool things.

These Card balls are a great way to use your Christmas cards! They are very easy to make, and are a lovely Christmas decoration.

Supplies

You will need:

12 Christmas cards

Scissors

A black pen

Glue (We used super glue, but school glue or double sided tape also work)

Templates- a 3'' circle, and a pentagon that fits inside it.

Pliers (Optional, but very useful if you are using super glue)

Step 1:

Use the circle template to draw around a pretty part of each card.

Step 2:

Cut the circles out. You will need twelve.

Decide which six will be on the top and which ones will be on the bottom.

Step 3:

On the backs of the circles, trace the pentagon template. For the pieces on the top, there needs to be a point at the bottom of the picture. For the top, it needs to be flat on the bottom. Fold on the lines as shown in the pictures.

Step 4:

Decide where you want the pictures and arrange them as shown. Try to spread out similar colors and pictures.

Step 5:

Glue the pieces together. You should make two halves and then glue them together. If you are using super glue, pliers can be nice to pinch the tabs together.

Step 6:

You are finished! The card ball can be set on a table or hung somewhere.
