Introduction: Class a Self Biased Audio Power Amplifier

In this instructable I am going to discuss about making a Class A Audio power amplifier. This Audio power amplifier uses 10 items and performance is satisfactory.

I have used transistor TIP122 with proper heatsink for this project.

Supplies

Bill of materials

  1. Transistor TIP122
  2. Good heatsink (refer youtube video)
  3. Resistor 330 ohm 5 Watt (note: Dont put less wattage as it gets hot)
  4. Resistor 100K 1/4 watt.
  5. capacitor 0.22uF (Audio coupling capacitor)
  6. 10K volume control.
  7. Speaker.
  8. Tweeter. (Optional).
  9. Breadboard
  10. +24V DC power supply.
  11. Audio jack for PC/ Mobile phone.

Step 1:

Connect the items as per attached circuit diagram. Watch the attached video. Make the circuit and enjoy.
