Introduction: Clean and Lubricate a Tachometer Cable

About: Introverted rider, started riding after 40. People thought I was having a midlife crisis. I just wanted a motorcycle! Watch content for mature people of all ages, not just for the middle aged.

In this instructable video, I attempt to fix a bouncing tachometer needle by cleaning and lubricating the tachometer cable on my Honda Nighthawk CB450SC motorcycle. The tachometer would bounce at both idle and at speed.

Tools:

  1. Tools and Parts Cleaning Spray
  2. Silicone Lubricant
  3. Socket Wrench

After putting it back on, the bouncing was reduced.
