Introduction: Coffee-Infused Massage Oil

Coffee-Infused Massage Oil is both relaxing and energizing. It is so simple to make, with a handful of coffee beans and common oils. The coffee provides both antioxidants and caffeine which help improve circulation and reduce fluid retention. In addition, physically working the oils into the skin improves lymph and blood flow to the area. As the primary ingredient, sweet almond oil is a good source of Vitamin E.

Supplies

  • Coffee beans
  • Sesame oil
  • Small Mason jar
  • Double boiler
  • Stovetop or wood stove
  • Measuring spoons
  • Cutting board
  • Kitchen knife

Step 1: Infusing the Coffee

On a cutting board, coarsely chop 2 tablespoons of coffee beans. Place them in a small Mason jar, cover them in sesame oil and place in a very warm place, such as a wood stove for 7 hours. Alternatively, place the beans in a double boiler, cover them with sesame oil, and heat over very low heat for 7 hours.

Place a lid on the Mason jar, and shake well.
