Introduction: Creating a 3d Printed Birdhouse

In this instructable we'll be creating a 3d printed birdhouse.

This means you will need to have, or have access to, a 3d printer.

The model is designed with 12 pieces that snap together and has an additional piece that can be printed if you'd like to add a layer of insulation for your feathered friends home.

Step 1: The Parts

As I mentioned before there are 12+1 parts total for this birdhouse.

They are attached, please print them all out to continue.

(You need to print 8 copies of the "BirdhouseConnectingRods.stl")

Step 2: Assemblage

I could stretch this out for a couple of steps, but I don't think that will be necessary.

To assemble take your printed base plate and insert the cylindrical housing in the corresponding
   grooves.

Next fit the printed rods in each of the holes, there should be 8 in total.

Then carefully tap the front face, with the bird hole, to fit on the previously assembled parts.

Finally insert the landing rod in the front face opening, then you are finished.

Step 3: Parting Words

I'm fairly certain everything should fit snugly with one another, though there is that possibility that it doesn't. I haven't printed it out and assembled it yet, so until that happens I wont know. If someone does print this out I'd love to know the results, and if there is anything that doesn't fit correctly or if there is any improvements you'd like to see, let me know.
