Round 2: Sl st to next ch-2 space, ch 3, dc in same space, *ch 3, 3 dc in next ch-2 space* 9 times, ch 3, join with sl st into 3rd ch of beg ch-3.

Step 2: Round 3 - 6

Round 3-6 - Sl st to next ch-2 space, (ch 2, dc, ch 1, 2dc) all in same space, *ch 2, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) all in next ch-3 space* 9 times, ch 2, join with sl st into 2nd ch of beg ch.

Note: You can adjust on the diameter by increasing or decreasing the number of round. I you want the stitches to be tight and close.

Step 3: Final Round

This round will be the ending of your doily.

Ch 2, 2 dc in same space, *ch 2, skip next dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 2, sc in next sc, ch 2, 3 dc in next dc* 9 times, ch 2, skip next dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 2, sc in next sc, ch 2, join with sl st into 2nd ch of beg ch-2.

Fasten off. Your simple doily is done. Now we shall move into how to make a phone case.

Step 4: The Case - 1

The case is very simple to make and it involves only the basic stitches.

To begin with start with Sl St.

Chain till the length of your phone. You need double the length of the chain as we will be folding it and stitching through the ends.

I chained about 70.

Note: One thing you can take care here is to make the length 2 chain less or just the right length of the phone case. This is just to make sure your phone is secure in the phone case.

Step 5: The Phone Case - 2

Row 1 - desired height:

Chain 1, Turn over, Skip the first stitch from the previous row and Dc through the entire length.

Repeat the same till you reach the required height of the phone. I did about 25 rows.

Step 6: The Phone Case - 3

Now you have reached the desired height of your phone. Fold over the crochet along the height wise. Continue doing slip stitch through the both ends along the rim. When you have completed slip stitch along the height wise portion continue doing slip stitch through the shorter length portion. Now the edges are brought together. The false side is facing outside. Fasten off.

Step 7: The Phone Case - Top Cover

You are having a phone case bottom portion ready. Now we have to do the top cover.

Start on just one face of the cover. Sl St on to one end. Do Dc from one end to another. (This should be don only one face of the cover)

Ch 1. Turn over.

From Row 1 - Row 5 - Dc along the full length. Ch 1 and turn over.

Step 8: Button

I like the press button type on the phone case. You could use a small piece of velcro too.

I am using a press button. Sew in the one part of the press button on the inner side of the op cover. Also sew in the other portion on the case facing the upper button.

Step 9: Final

Now you can place the crochet flower doily over the phone case however you like. Just to give a vintage style I placed it on the edge as seen in the photo. Now sew from under the phone case.
