This is a purple scarf that I made using Lion Brand's Homespun in their purple haze color. I love the way it turned out and how you can see the different shades of color. My scarf is 8 inches x 45 inches. (You can change the size to fit your needs.)

Step 1: Crochet Scarf Materials

To make the scarf you will need
1. Yarn. I used Lion Brand Homespun in purple haze.
2. Crochet hook size G

Step 2: Beginning

Chain 27. (If you desire for a scarf that is narrow decrease in sets of 5)

Step 3: Row 1

1 sc in second chain from hook. * chain 5, skip next 4 ch, 1 sc in next ch, repeat from * to end, turn.

Step 4: Row 2

Ch 1 (does not count as a st.) 1 sc in 1st sc. *5 sc in next 5 ch loop, 1 sc in next sc; repeat from* to end turn.

Step 5: Row 3

Ch 3 ( counts as 1st dc), skip 1st sc, 1 dc in each of the next 5 sc. * chain 1, skip next sc, 1 dc in each of the next sc; repeat from * to last sc, 1 dc in last sc, turn.

Step 6: Row 4

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), 1 sc in first dc, * chain 5, 1 sc in next 1-ch sp; repeat from * working last sc of last repeat in top of 3-ch at end turn.
