Introduction: Crona From "Soul Eater"

This is Crona, from the anime "Soul Eater." I just made up the pattern as I went along. :)

I haven't written up a pattern for this doll, but I will try to explain some things that I done. Firstly, I used a size G hook (for everything.) I increased the head til I reached 36 stitches (5 rounds or so) and then for the next round, I did 1 sc in each BLO (this is where I started the hair.) and then I did 8 to 10 rows of just 1 sc in each stitch. I then decreased (1 sc, then decrease, all the way around) til I got to 8 stitches. I did stuff the head before it got too small though. The neck, I think I just did a few rows without increasing, so it's 8 stitches in each row. On row 4 of the neck, I increased in each stitch, making it 16.

The body, I can't remember how many rows I did.. but I think I increased at first til I reached 18 to 20 stitches around. Sorry I couldn't be more clear about that. :( I need to start writing down everything I do. I did 2 rows of 1 sc in each FLO when I got to about row 15 or 16. I stuffed the body at about this point. But, this is where the legs will go. I used the "ridge" (created by crocheting in FLO) furthest from me and did 1 sc in each, then started decreasing (in BLO) after the first round til I closed it up. I then made legs and just attached them there. The legs, I made them a little wider at the top, started with 6 stitches, increased to 12 stitches (did another row of 12 stitches) then decreased evenly in the next row.. making it 10, 1 sc in next row evenly.. still at 10 stitches. Then I did another decrease in the next row making it 8 stitches. I did a few more rows after this. I don't remember how many, but I'm sure you could just make them as long or as short as you want them. :) I forgot to mention that I did keep adding rows on the body to make it a dress. I didn't keep up with how many extra rows I made. Sorry.

I don't remember at all what I did for the shoes. I think I wrote that down somewhere but I can't find it right now. I will edit this and add it later if I can find it.

The arms, I started with 4, increased to 8, then did a few rows of 8 stitches in each stitch. I decreased after that and on row 6 or 7 I had 6 stitches then did about 7 rows of 6 sc in each stitch. I didn't stuff the arms. I don't remember what I did for the hands right now either, I'm sorry.

The hair I just rooted in, or whatever you want to call it. I started at the ridge I made on the top of the head and did all the rows, covering the head. Then of course I cut the hair how I wanted it. You always want to make sure to make the hair much longer just to make sure there is enough. :)

I used pieces of yarn for the eyebrows and the mouth. I used felt for the eyes and the cuffs on the neck, arms and legs.

I hope this was somewhat helpful. If you have questions, ask me and I will try to answer. :)
